My Story
I've been overhauling data-heavy business processes for over ten years. Designing new business processes and data processes as well.
I got my start in this direction studying at MIT's Leaders for Global Operations program (LGO). At LGO we learned a process improvement approach that grew out of the Toyota Production System and Lean Manufacturing movement. Respect for the worker and the knowledge they possess is essential. The concept of "go and see" is also critical - you need to visit the shop floor and and actually experience what is happening to be of any help. Staying in a conference room and looking at the spreadsheet version of reality is not enough!

I started Robust Flow Operations because I realized I have a knack for untangling data headaches that are holding people back. I see the entire world as process flows. (People who know me are amused at how much a poorly laid-out hotel breakfast buffet will torture my very soul!)
It seems that my gifts are an eye for seeing where the snags lie in a process and the vision to imagine an improved state. When I apply these to a real-world situation, I help that team cure their long-standing headaches, freeing them to accomplish more high-value work. This allows the business to grow and I know I am making a valuable difference not just to my client, but also to the people who work there.
